Jam4 allows multiple smartphones to play harmonious melodies in-sync with each other and lets up to four people jam out with different instruments. A custom beatpad allows for certain beat patterns as well as pitch variation which will transpose the melody up and down octaves. The melodies from each connected phone will be sent to a visualization server written in Processing (Java) where the notes are then rendered in unison.
